Meeting place at the Holiday Inn, 10000 Baltimore Ave., College Park. As you come into parking lot we will stage near the Moose Creek Restaurant which is connected to the Inn. Can't miss seeing from Route 1 and the big blue Ikea store directly behind it. The Inn is directly on the north side of the 495 Beltway.
Directions to Inn:
- Traveling south on Rt.1 from Laurel make a right turn to the Inn just before Beltway
- Coming south on I-95 to the 495 connection it's important to make sure you take the center exit lane to College Park. Once on the access lane to Baltimore Ave. stay in left lane. Take 2nd exit to Rt.1 north then merge on Rt.1 to left lane. After passing by the Inn make u-turn or turn left at the light .
- Traveling from the east going west on 495 take the Rt.1 exit and cross over the highway at the light. You will go around the inn (toward Ikea) to go around to the front parking lot
Areas traveling through include Sandy Spring, Olney, Brookeville, Sunshine, Glenwood, Florence, Damascus and a touch of Mt. Airy. Mostly country roads with great scenery, farms and estates. There are 2 motorcycle shops along the route which are opened on Saturdays. Good to know in case anyone has a problem. Estimate mileage is 75 miles round trip. Ride will end in Laurel where gas is cheaper than most other areas. Hope to see everyone on the ride
