Maryland Emergency Medical Services Program Motorcycle Rally & Ride for Maranda M. Callender

Ride starts in Pasadena, goes northwest to Taneytown, and then returns southeast to Hanover.  Coffee and donuts served at registration.  Silent Auction and 50/50 raffle before ride starts at 1:30 PM.  After-ride party at Cancun Cantina at 7 PM. 

$20/bike rally ride only, $40/bike rally ride and after-party.

Ride will start at Laurel Elks Lodge #2283 and will travel to Glen Burnie Elks Lodge #2266, Bowie Elks Lodge #2309, Broadneck Elks #2608, Severna Park Elks Lodge #2482, and return to Laurel Elks Lodge #2283.  Ride is about 75 miles.

Ride including a meetup with the South Central PA VRA chapter in northern Harford and Baltimore Counties and a ride around Prettyboy Reservoir.  Lunch at Pioneer Pub & Restaurant in Parkton.  Ice cream stop at Mr. Teddy's Dairy Delight in Woodbine.

Total ride length (Hanover-Clarksville) approximately 174 miles.

Whites Ferry and Point of Rocks Ride

Leaves Ellicott City, riding thru northern Montgomery and southers Frederick counties, crossing the Potomac River at Whites Ferry ($4 toll one way), proceeding to lunch in Lovettsville, VA. Then we'll cross back over the Potomac River on Rt 15 at Point of Rocks, stop at one or two local sights, and then ride back to Ellicott City for ice cream. This trip will be about 130 miles, almost entirely back roads.

Intersection of Rt 198 and Rt 295, directly in front of Knights Inn Motel
Nanjemoy Loop Ride

Leaves Maryland City (east Laurel, Rts 198 and 295). The first 40 miles will be on Rts 295/197/301 just to get south to Brandywine. From there we hit the back roads to run a figure 8 on scenic roads thru Indian Head, Maryland Point, Nanjemoy, Port Tobacco, ending up for lunch at Greene Turtle in La Plata. After lunch, we'll ride east of the Rt 50 corridor, thru places like Hughesville, Patuxent, Aquasco, Popular Hill, Upper Marlboro, Davidsonville, and Crofton, ending back at our starting point. Total ride length is about 190 miles, with 150 of that being back roads.

Leaving Ellicott City, with a second meetup stop in College Park, making our way down to the water in Deale MD for lunch at Skipper's Pier RestaurantFollowing lunch, we'll ride north near Edgewater, then make a stop at the Radio and Television Museum of BowieFrom there, we'll continue on thru Crownsville, Severna Park, Riviera Beach (Stoney Creek), and end up for ice cream at Brewster's in Pasadena.  Total ride is about 125 miles.

Breakfast Ride to Thurmont, MD

Ride to Mountain Gate Restaurant in Thurmont for breakfast (about 70 miles). This restaurant has a nice breakfast buffer.  Following breakfast, we'll ride to High Rock in Washington County and then ride to Damascus MD, ending up at Jimmie Cone Ice Cream stand. Total ride is about 150 miles.  Be sure to bring your camera.

The ride will end at Jack and Jill's Distribution Center in Columbia. After a light lunch, participants will enjoy a Celebration of Life program that features interviews with young brain tumor survivors—the Ride for Kids® "stars" of the day. Award presentations to top fundraisers will follow.

The minimum donation to ride is $35, but the more money you raise, the more premiums you earn. For each $300 you raise, your name will be entered into a drawing for a brand-new Honda motorcycle! (Must be present to win.) For more information, call 800-253-6530.
